208 Plan Amendment Approval Process

Plan for about 120 days minimum from submittal, plus time until the next available membership meeting.

Submittal & Completeness Review
Submit the applicable 208 Plan Amendment application from the list above.
Initial review for completeness. The Association Manager may reject an incomplete application.
Public Notice & Referral
Once accepted, these happen at the same time:
60-Day Public Notice and Comment Period begins. Membership is notified by email and the project is posted on the Association's website.
Staff distributes the amendment to the referral agencies required by the application. Agencies submit comments during the notice period.
Note: A related Utility Plan or Site Application may be reviewed at the same time during this 60-day period.
Conflict Resolution
An additional 30 days follows the notice period to resolve any conflicts, including referral agency or public comments opposing a Utility Plan, Site Application, or 208 Wastewater Utility Service Area (WUSA) boundary modification or amendment.
Required: All conflicts must be resolved locally before the amendment goes to membership.
Membership Decision
Present the amendment's main topics, goals and objectives, and highlights, followed by a Q&A session with membership.
Membership votes on the amendment. Sign-off forms are completed after the meeting based on the action taken.
